Co-Curricular Activities

At Aurobindo Vidyamandir, learning extends beyond the classroom.
Co-curricular activities form an integral part of our educational philosophy, helping students express creativity, develop confidence, and cultivate teamwork.

Overview

Regular Activities in School

Students actively participate in creative displays such as paintings, drawings, and written work, showcased on the school’s display boards every month.
These displays reflect both knowledge and imagination, commemorating important events and encouraging artistic expression among learners.

Cultural Events

The school celebrates major cultural occasions including Rabindra Jayanti, Nazrul Jayanti, and the School Foundation Day.
Students take part with great enthusiasm in songs, dances, recitations, skits, and performances, guided by teachers who motivate them to showcase their talents in every possible way.

Competitive Examinations & Other Competitions

Our students are encouraged to test their academic and creative potential through various competitions.
Participation in the National Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) increases every year, and many of our students secure commendable ranks at both state and national levels.
We also promote participation in Inter-School Debates, Quizzes, and Essay Competitions, helping students build confidence, logic, and communication skills.

Inter-House Competitions

To foster leadership, cooperation, and healthy competition, all students are divided into four active houses:

  1. Aurobindo House (Blue)

  2. Sarojini House (Green)

  3. Subhash House (Red)

  4. Matangini House (Yellow)

Inter-house competitions are held quarterly, focusing on hand skills, mind skills, speaking skills, and physical skills.
These events help students move beyond textbooks, discover their hidden talents, and develop a spirit of teamwork.
