Founded in 1977<\/strong>, D.H.B. Road Aurobindo Vidyamandir<\/strong> stands as one of Durgapur\u2019s most respected English-medium schools. The school was established by visionary members of the Jadavpur University Alumni Association, Durgapur Branch<\/strong>, who aspired to create an institution dedicated to quality education and all-round development.<\/p>

The idea of founding a school that combined academic excellence with moral and cultural values was brought to life under the leadership of Sri Tripurari Chatterjee<\/strong>, the then President of the Association, with immense contribution from Lt. Sri Ramlal Banerjee<\/strong> and other devoted members.<\/p>

The name Aurobindo Vidyamandir<\/em> was proposed by Dr. Gokul Mukherjee<\/strong>, then General Manager of Alloy Steel Plant, to honor the educational legacy of Sri Aurobindo<\/strong>, who once served as Principal of the National Council of Education \u2014 later known as Jadavpur University.<\/p>

From its humble beginnings at 2A, Kanishka Road, the school shifted to its permanent campus on Harshabardhan Road<\/strong> in 1984. Over the decades, it has grown into a thriving educational institution known for academic strength, discipline, and cultural enrichment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
